Effective July 1, 2025, the combined Kansas state and local sales and use tax rates will change in the Cities of Abilene and Lyndon. New special districts have been created in Garden City, Mission, Overland Park, Roeland Park, and Topeka. The Department is also reminding taxpayers that effective January 1, 2025, the state sales tax rate for food and food ingredients changed.
