WHAT HAPPENED:

On June 15, 2022, Microsoft officially retired Internet Explorer. Administrators have been proactively removing IE from servers due to the potential risk of not being patched for security vulnerabilities.

HOW DOES THIS IMPACT ME:

Some customers may be using an IIS reset script provided by Thomson Reuters Elite Support. The script resets IIS but then launches Internet Explorer so that 3E could be loaded on every WAPI server and scheduled tasks do not experience any interruptions. If your firm is using this script, it is recommended that you update to the latest version, which uses Edge if IE is not found. Please refer to KB Article TR-8446:  3E Server Maintenance Tasks for Optimum Performance to download the updated script and for additional information.  Please open a Case with Elite Systems Support if you require assistance or have further questions.
