Editing iSheets

At present, anyone who has edit rights to an isheet, are able to add an item on the isheet. I have been asked on numerous occasions if there is the ability to restrict a user to be able to edit only existing items rather than provide the ability to "Add" when they have edit rights to an isheet.  I can see the benefit to that.

  • Would love this, too (both restricting add and copy)!

  • Kelly Kernan You made my day with this comment: "and now that you're adding additional capabilities". This is the HighQ customer wish list. No one said these features will actually be implemented! :)

  • Further, we'd also like to be able limit who is able to copy a record . The placement of this option on the More Actions menu is such that I can easily see duplicate records being inadvertently added on the regular. We’ve expressed a need for more granular iSheets permissions in the past, and now that you're adding additional capabilities (and integration), it’s even more necessary.

  • Adding to this, we would like all of the above granular permissions plus the ability to restrict users who add records from being able to generate documents via Contract Express. This could be achieved by allowing records to be added but not edited.

  • Caroline Ayto This is part of an overall need for more granular iSheet permissions that have been requested over time but never implemented. Others include:

1 - (The opposite of yours) Add record but not edit

2 - Add record but not delete

3 - Delete but not add or edit (less useful)

4 - Add only one record
