Community members depend on answered questions to quickly find trusted solutions. Using Suggest as Answer and Accept Answer helps show which replies may solve a question and which ones have been confirmed as correct.
What the icons mean
In forum post lists, visual icons show the status of each question:
- Green checkmark: The question has an accepted answer
- Yellow checkmark: One or more replies have been suggested as answers, but not yet accepted
- Question mark: The question is still open

Suggest an answer
If you reply to a question and believe your response may solve the issue, mark it as a suggested answer before posting.
To suggest an answer:
- Open the question you want to answer.
- Click Reply.
- Write your response. Include enough detail to help the original poster understand your solution.
- Add screenshots, examples, or steps if helpful.
- Select Suggest as Answer.
- Click Reply to post your response.

Suggesting an answer notifies the original poster that your reply may be a solution.
Accept an answer
If someone replies to your question with a correct solution, mark that reply as the accepted answer. This helps other community members quickly find the confirmed solution.
To accept an answer:
- Open the question you posted.
- Find the reply that solved your issue.
- Click Accept Answer next to that reply.
Once accepted, the answer will display as verified and the question will show a green checkmark in the forum list.

Who can accept an answer?
An answer can be accepted by:
- The original poster
- A community administrator
If you are the original poster, you will see an Accept Answer button next to replies. Administrators may use the More menu to accept an answer.

When there are multiple correct answers
Some questions may have more than one helpful or correct reply. In those cases, more than one answer can be accepted.
Accept all replies that accurately answer the question or provide a valid solution.

Tips for better answers
When answering a question:
- Be clear and specific
- Include steps, examples, or screenshots when useful
- Mention product areas, settings, or workflows involved
- Tag another community member if they may be able to help
- Select Suggest as Answer if your reply may solve the issue
