ResearchID Identifier Format

I want to capture ResearchID using an xsd schema with a regular expression. Disappointingly,  I haven't been able to find an official definition of the exact format of the identifier. Can someone please confirm.... is it:

alpha character + hyphen + 4 numeric characters + hyphen + 4 numeric characters (representing year of registration) ?

Will this work for any ResearcherID now and for the foreseeable future?

Thanks

Re: ResearchID Identifier Format

HUNTERN,

I do not believe there can be found an "official" definition of a ResearcherID identifier format, but it always the same:

alpha character + hyphen + 4 numeric characters + hyphen + 4 numeric characters (representing year of registration)

Thus, an author profile number would appear as - A-9634-2009.

Hope this helps.

Re: ResearchID Identifier Format

Hi,

OK, thanks for your help. I'll go with regex: [A-z]{1}-\d{4}-\d{4}
