Mismatch between citation counts

Hello, there is a mismatch between the citation counts of articles on my Researcher-ID profile (D-1816-2009) and of the corresponding records in Web of Science (WOS), although these articles have been included in my profile from WOS. The article "Weber et al. (2004), The crustal structure..." has 43 citations on my profile, while it has 44 in WOS, and the article "Bedrosian et al. (2007), Lithology-derived structure" has 15 citations on my profile, while there are 16 in WOS. The sum of times cited on my Citation Metrics page on Researcher-ID uses the number of citations from WOS, i.e. it includes two more citations than there are listed on my View Publications page. Is this a bug or might it be related to my institution's subscription to WOS? Regards, D-1816-2009

Re: Mismatch between citation counts

To conclude this thread, the answer from the technical support was that I cannot see all citing articles (the complete references) due to my institution's limited subscription to WOS. However, in WOS I see a higher Times Cited count for the two mentioned articles than on the Researcher-ID "View Publications" page.

From my point of view, the Times Cited on the "View Publications" page should match the number of citations on the "Citation Metrics" page. It's a bit confusing to have a "Citation Metrics" page with numbers consistent with those in WOS and a "View Publications" page with a different (here smaller) number.
