Term Manager - Change Case

There doesn't seem to be an easy way to change the case of the characters in a journal title. For example, if I want to change the title from "Bmc Public Health" to "BMC Public Health", I cannot simply edit the "Bmc" to "BMC" and save. Please allow this in version 12.

Re: Term Manager - Change Case

I agree. We need a "Change Case" to UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case.

It is very time consuming to edit the entries when you import references froa a sevice that uses UPERCASES for the AUTHORS names or article titles or journal names.

Yes! However, although I agree with this suggestion, the problem I have is a bit different. If one or two characters of an author's name or a periodical's name has been entered in the wrong case it is currently impossible to correct it. After correcting the term to  the proper case saving the entry doesn't keep the change.  This is a bug more than a product suggestion.

Re: Term Manager - Change Case

If you have exclusive access to the database you can change the font of periodicals, author names and keywords using the term manager tool.

The checking software obviously ignores case when importing - once you've standardised the upper/lower case it stays the same.

I wish there was wom way to ignore diacriticals and hyphens in duplicat checking - I spen a lot of time making author names synonyms so the duplicat check will find them when imported in slightly different versions from different databases
