Hello Endnote users,
I have the following title:
Surface characterization of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium Br-, I-, PF6-, BF4-, (CF3SO2)2N-, SCN-, CH3SO3-, CH3SO4-, and (CN)2N- ionic liquids by sum frequency generation.
Consider "Br-". The minus should be superscript.
I can use endnotes formatting tools "P", "A^1" to make sure the minus sign is formatted as a superscript However, in my document, the minus sign is a bit "low." In other words, I think the superscript should be formatted a bit higher. Is there a way to "raise" the position of the superscript?
Consider "PF6-". The 6 should be subscript and the minus should be superscript.
I can use endnotes formatting tools "P", "A_1", and "A^1" to make sure the "6" is formatted as a subscript and the minus sign is formatted as a superscript. I was careful to start all text in the "P" state and only apply "A^1" and "A_1" to the appropriate character. However, the superscript is formatted *even lower* in this example. In other words, being adjacent to a subscript character seems to impact where the superscript character is formatted. Is this a bug?
