We have been actively testing Mavericks compatibility with X7, and the new EndNote X7.0.1 update was released to address the few small issues we'd uncovered. Any X7 users still experiencing problems after downloading the update are encouraged to contact our support team.
EndNote X6 appears to work; at this time, no patches are expected for this version.
We know that users currently on X5 and earlier are having issues, and sincerely apologize. We currently have no planned updates to older versions, but we are looking into the issues. If you've upgraded to Mavericks and are having trouble with EndNote, please consider upgrading to X7. For a limited time, you can use coupon code MAVX7 to upgrade for 30% off of the standard upgrade price. Offer expires November 30th, 2013. Get your copy of EndNote X7 here:
As always, your current EndNote libraries and documents will work with X7.
Another piece of awesome news for you... For the first time, we are moving away from annual releases. Rather than releasing a version X8 in 2014, we will continue to release improvements to X7 and add new features. Building on the input we receive from our users worldwide, we will continue to release new features, make improvements to core workflows, and develop our sync capabilities throughout 2014.
We hope you are as excited about this new direction as we are!

Thank you for this helpful announcement.
I see no explicit statement that issues with X7 and Pages 5.0 are being addressed. Please include this in your efforts!

thanks so much for this email. I've been now working with pages 09 and endnote x7 on mavericks, and all seemed to be working perfectly as it should. However, since yesterday I found that pages keep crashing and the error message says that it does so while using the plug in. It does not specify if this is endnote plug in for pages09, but I'm also not aware of any other that I might be using.... Therefore, I was wondering if you are aware of any problems of compatibility in the described circumstances. It would be of tremendous help if you could verify it. If things are not working well with pages, which was my preferred word processor, I might need to try to move to word, though this would be a big trouble considering that I'm talking about a doctorate dissertation.....
Many thanks in advance for your time and help.

We address Pages issues in another thread -- please see here.
I apologize for the inconvenience!

Actually, it looks like it's working even withOUT the code. The original price for an upgrade is 99.95, and even without the code right now it's adding for the 30% off rate of $69.96. This is different than what it was doing yesterday, so I'm going to check with the Powers that Be as to whether that was an intentional adjustment. Apologies for the confusion, and I'll post back on this thread when I have more information.
Whoops! Silly me. That is simply because I'd tested the coupon in the past. When I try with a different browser what I stated above doesn't happen, and in fact the discount happens just as I'd expect -- if I type in the coupon code and then click "Apply" the price drops 30%. Are you remembering to click Apply? Are you purchasing the "upgrade" version?
If you still have trouble, please contact our Customer Support team for assistance ordering.

I use Endnote X4 for the Mac and have recently updated to OSX Mavericks and encountered the incompatibility of X4 with Mavericks: it doesn't work.
Am I still able to use the upgrade offer, mentioned here? In that case, how to do that when the Endnote program doesn't work anymore?

Absolutely. That code is for anyone using X5 or earlier, which includes X4, X3, etc. Let us know if you have any questions or problems.
